Jessel Murray

Lecturer, Conductor & Music Educator

Mr. Jessel Murray is an accomplished conductor, music educator, and lecturer based at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine. With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Murray is widely respected for his leadership in choral music, orchestral performance, and music education in the Caribbean. He currently serves as Director of the UWI Arts Chorale and UWI Steel, and is a leading figure in the development of classical and contemporary music in Trinidad and Tobago.

About Me

As a Lecturer in Music at UWI, Mr. Murray offers expertise in vocal performance, conducting, music theory, and ensemble direction. His dynamic teaching style and commitment to artistic excellence have shaped generations of musicians, composers, and educators across the region. He holds degrees in Music and Conducting from internationally recognized institutions and continues to inspire through lectures, workshops, and performances.
